Mitchell Johnson, president and CEO of Ozarks Electric, was honored as the 2022 Civic Service Honoree at the 95th Springdale Chamber Annual Meeting presented by Harps Foods. The Annual Meeting is the Chamber’s premier event of the year with more than 650 business leaders gathering for the luncheon and program. This year’s program was held February 25 at the NWA Convention Center.

Connie Crowell was recognized as Ambassador of the Year for her volunteer time while longtime Ambassador Glen Plumlee was given the title of Ambassador Emeritus as he nears retirement from Legacy National Bank at the end of the year.

UAMS Chancellor Dr. Cam Patterson was the keynote speaker for the event, providing details on UAMS’ wide range of healthcare partnerships in Springdale and the soon-to-be-constructed UAMS Sports Orthopedic Complex to be build just south of Arkansas Children’s Northwest in the Springdale Care Corridor.

2022 Chair Diana McDaniel of Arkansas Children’s Northwest and Past Chair Patrick Swope of Legacy National Bank provided attendees with insights on the Chamber’s accomplishments and upcoming opportunities.
