A new monthly car show will debut in Downtown Springdale on May 18, giving car enthusiasts an opportunity to showcase and view some of the most iconic vehicles of the last 100 years.
The Rise & Rally Car Show, presented by the Springdale Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Springdale Advertising and Promotion Commission and the Arts Center of the Ozarks, will be held the third Saturday morning of the month from May through October. The show will be staged on the ACO parking lot, one block south of Emma Avenue between Main and Blair Streets. Show hours are 9 a.m. to Noon.
“The Downtown Springdale Alliance did a great job with the Coffee and Cars show for many years,” said Perry Webb, Chamber president. “We asked if we could build on their past successes, re-invent certain elements and create a brand new car show.
“After hearing our goal to create a bigger and better downtown car show, the Springdale Advertising and Promotion Commission agreed to make this event possible by funding the 2019 season,” added Webb. “We’ve come up with some great ideas for a new car show that should make Saturday mornings in Downtown Springdale fun for all ages.”
Each month, the Rise & Rally Car Show will give area car clubs an opportunity to guest partner the event alongside other owners of all vehicle types interested in exhibiting. There is no registration fee for exhibitors. Three classes and a best in show will receive trophies each month.
Spectators may attend free of charge while viewing beautifully restored vehicles and enjoying the wares of food trucks scheduled to participate. A combined car and motorcycle show is planned for September and a nighttime show with an Emma Avenue Cruise is scheduled for October.
