Fallen Veteran Memorial

To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, Springdale Har-Ber High School junior Hogan Maestri must complete a service project to benefit his community.

He has designed and is working to raise the necessary funds to construct a Fallen Soldier Memorial in Downtown Springdale. The bronze monument will honor those from Springdale who died in battle while serving our country.

Maestri must raise the $15,000 cost of the monument and complete his service project before his 18th birthday on July 28. His project has the support of Springdale’s City Council and the Springdale Chamber of Commerce.

In his presentation to the City Council, Hogan explained his love of history and a desire to honor Springdale’s military heroes. Currently, his research has identified 52 fallen veterans from World War I to present day who were born in Springdale or called this city their home.

With time running out to raise the necessary funds and complete the monument’s construction, Maestri needs help to raise the $15,000 cost of the project…
