The Milken Institute Best Performing Cities ranking, released in February of 2006, depicts those U.S. metropolitan areas that are recording the top economic performance and creating the most jobs in the nation. Springdale's MSA, vaulting to first in 2003 after a 23rd ranking in 2002, remained in the Top 10 for the third straight year. The eighth-place ranking for 2005 reflects consistent job growth and emphasis on the technology sector.
