Leadership Springdale
One of Springdale's greatest assets has been the quality of its community leadership. To assure and continue the quality of that leadership, the Springdale Chamber of Commerce is very proud of Leadership Springdale. This dynamic program was designed to identify, train, and motivate current and emerging leaders who live or work in the Springdale area. Individuals may nominate themselves, or they may be nominated by their businesses or organizations. The experiences and knowledge gained through participation in the program will have an immediate and positive effect on the participants, their associates, and our community.
One of the main objectives for this program is to recruit candidates with diverse backgrounds. Participants range from small business owners to corporate executives. The program also acquaints participants with the dynamics of leadership, and familiarizes the class with the duties of those in leadership positions. Participants are motivated to become involved and accept leadership roles within the community, and to provide continuity through the establishment of a Leadership Alumni program.
Throughout this process the class observe such facilities as Tyson Corporate Office, Washington County Jail, Northwest Medical Center, and the the Arkansas State Capitol. At year's end, a certificate of completion and group photo is presented at a graduation ceremony.
