For more than 50 years, Northwest Medical Center - Springdale has been committed to providing the region's highest level of healthcare delivered by a dedicated and experienced medical staff. The hospital has 222 licensed beds and are JCAHO Accredited.
Northwest Medical offers a team approach to cardiac services that ensures total patient care. The hospital offers the most advanced Cardiac Cath Lab in Arkansas. From a simple electrocardiogram to open heart surgery and cardiac rehab, and from education to diagnostics, a full range of cardiac services is available.
The largest and most experienced Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Northwest Arkansas is at Northwest Medical. The unit provides a depth of experience to handle newborns and infants that require specialized medical attention. The highly trained medical staff includes neonatologists (physicians who specialize in sick and premature babies), neonatal nurse practitioners, and the area's only pediatric surgeon.
The Pat and Willard Walker Cancer Unit offers cancer screening and education, advanced diagnostic technology, and a variety of treatment options. The Women's Breast Center concentrates on breast cancer prevention, early detection, education, diagnosis, follow-up and support services.
Northwest Senior Health Centers are located at the Schmieding Center in Springdale and in Bentonville and Bella Vista. The Senior Health Centers are staffed and designed specifically for the care of the area's growing senior population. These senior-focused clinics offer the area's only fellowship-trained geriatricians who provide rush-free appointments, medication management services, family involvement, and senior-friendly equipment and furnishings. The Northwest Memory Disorder Center is also located in The Schmieding Center.
Northwest Medical Center offers 24-hour emergency care, including trauma, pediatric, and cardiac care and surgical suites are equipped for virtually every type of surgery, from open heart surgery to neurosurgery.
