Northwest Arkansas' two major highways - Interstate 49 and U.S. Highway 412 - intersect on Springdale's busy west side giving the city a distinct transportation advantage.

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Commission conducts and makes available annual average daily traffic counts for a wide range of highways and streets within the city limits.

More than 78,000 vehicles pass through Springdale a day on I-49 with another 37,000 passing through on U.S. 412. Downtown Springdale handles 32,000 vehicles a day on the north-south U.S. 71B that connects each city in the region.
